About Liz

Liz lives and works in the Bay Area, a native of Toledo, Ohio. She is a professional illustrator, who feeds herself by modeling full-time for fellow artists. She feels it's a win-win, as she gets to better know her craft and community by looking at it from both sides.

Liz works primarily through the Academy of Art University, and is NOT a guild registered model.
She is best known for her gestures and quick poses. She is an avid rock-climber and yoga enthusiast, therefore loves to explore how her body works in her poses. However, she is very open to longer session and has posed for poses as long as 30 hours.
Liz also loves to create costumes, and is sought after for her unique designs. Please tell her in advance in you require any "unique" costumes outside of a regular repertoire.

More on Liz

Elizabeth Ramsey was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. She kept herself very busy, never letting just one interest dominate her life for too long. Although art was always a prime, albeit subconscious, interest to her, Liz delved into many different areas such as linguistics, theater and writing to satiate her ever wandering mind.

In 2005, she traveled to San Francisco at the age of 15 to volunteer for the Academy of Art University's 'Summer Art Experience', where she took college credit for studying fields such as Video Game development, Comic Books, and Directing. She returned to San Francisco upon graduating High School at the top of her class to continue these studies at the same university. In 2010 she graduated with a BFA in Illustration from the Academy of Art Univeristy, where she continues to study still in a second BFA in Fine Art.

Her greatest love, outside of art is unanimously traveling. Ever since she was a child she has traveled across the country, and this has instilled in her a certain wanderlust. In 2009 she participated in the Academy of Art University's study abroad program to Corcianno Italy, where her and a group of 10 other students landscaped painted and sketched across the Perugian Landscape. The following summer, she self-funded a trip to Japan for 3 months where she lived and painted in such cities as Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Okinawa and Fuji. Again in 2011 she traveled across Western Europe with her pochade box and acryllics to capture the vast cultural differences Europe entails. She hopes to return very soon to continue this adventure. She also loves to go on roadtrips, driving across the US twice so far, and hundreds of smaller trips inbetween. One day she hopes to fund her travels with her sketches and paintings of the world, the way she sees it....

Liz loves animals, being a foster parent for the Humane Society for many years. She also loves video games, reading, cooking, and movies.
